Like many aspiring theatre kids, I moved to New York City after college to try my luck in the Big Apple. I truly had no business being there! Coming out of Music Conservatory, I didn’t know anything about professional theatre or how people actually got “on Broadway.” All I knew was that I loved to sing and I needed to be where the action was. Reality sunk in in about 48 hours and I went from feeling confident and excited, to feeling underprepared and nervous as hell...  So I started writing­—something I’d never done before. I started sketching out the story of a girl who moved to New York City and had no idea what she was doing, and writing it all out gave me comfort.

Eventually I found my way. I got a nanny job and I started doing princess parties to keep myself afloat. I got lucky, I made some amazing connections and my small business blew up. I was able to pay for my life while I learned to navigate it, and I kept leaning toward writing about my life. What I ultimately discovered was that I was more of a writer than an actress. 

A few years later I had a huge wealth of funny stories from performing at birthday parties, and so I wove them together with that first story, and Party Girl: A Modern Fairytale was born. As I wrote it, I could see the story unfold, like a movie in my mind and now years later, I’m absolutely thrilled at the possibility that that could become a reality! I was so lucky to collaborate with one of my best friends, Kaitlyn McQuin on a full length screen adaptation of  Party Girl and we're both insanely proud of it!

I have also been fortunate enough over the years to write for several national publications including LA Confidential Magazine, Daily Candy, FATHOM, Hello Giggles!, Biz New Orleans and Quarterly Magazine. 

I am currently based in Los Angeles and my second novel, Have Baggage, Will Travel  is NOW available on Amazon. I'm in production on my third novel, Watchful Eyes and I'll be launching a 6 part mini podcast series this spring called, Have Baggage, Will Travel (The Pod).
